While the BCCI expected all interested Australian and English players to take part in IPL, the Covid situation in India will mean, there will be another bio-bubble, forcing the cricketers to take a call.
The likes of Ben Stokes, Pat Cummins, Mark Wood and Mitchell Starc are still undecided on IPL return while Joe Root has pulled out.
“I didn’t give name for auction. I think that there’s a lot that we need to do for this team, which deserves all of my energy. I really hope I get the opportunity to do it. I’ll keep sacrificing as much as I can because I care so much about Test cricket in our country and trying to get us to where we can,” Joe Root said after the final Ashes Test in Hobart.
