IPL 2022 Auction: 5 overseas wicket-keepers in focus- A number of overseas wicketkeepers will be in the eyes of IPL franchises ahead of the mega auction. Quinton de Kock 

South Africa wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock is an explosive batsman who can play long innings. The left-handed batsman has been terrific in the IPL over the last 3 seasons with 529, 503 and 297 runs respectively. He has amassed 2200+ runs in the cash-rich league which includes 16 fifties and a century. He is also a quality keeper with excellent skills and rarely misses out on any stumpings or catches. He has completed 50 catches and 14 stumpings behind the stumps, second-best among overseas cricketers after Adam Gilchrist (67 dismissals). He was last bought for Rs 2.8 crore by Mumbai Indians.

Jonny Bairstow

England opener Jonny Bairstow is a force to reckon in the T20 tournament. The wicket-keeper is also a swashbuckling batsman who can challenge any bowler. He has scored 1000+ runs in just 38 matches with a healthy average of 41+ and strike rate of 142. He has also smashed 7 fifties and a hundred in the tournament. SRH had bought him for Rs 2.2 crore in IPL 2019. His price cap is expected to zoom owing to his smashing performances in the last three editions of IPL.

Mathew Wade

Australia’s Mathew Wade took everyone by storm when he slammed three consecutive sixes off Pakistan to help Australia enter the finals of the T20 World Cup. His underpressure performance must have caught the eye of IPL scouts. The Aussie will be hoping for a big letter in the IPL 2022 Auction. He has played 159 T20s and amassed 3134 runs which include 20 half-centuries and a ton. He had last played in the 2011 edition of IPL.

Alex Carey

Another Australian wicketkeeper Alex Carey has been performing well in the last few matches for Australia and the domestic circuit. He had missed out on an IPL contract last season but will be gunning for a comeback after heroics behind the stumps in ongoing Ashes. He has played 100 T20s and amassed 2000+ runs which include a couple of centuries and 10 fifties. He provides key contributions in the lower-middle order.

Devon Conway

New Zealand’s Devon Conway will be gunning for an IPL contract after his heroics in T20I cricket. He has played 112 T20s and scored 3684 runs at an average of 43+ which includes 27 fifties and a couple of hundreds. The left-handed batsman has been making all the headlines in all forms of cricket. He scored a double century on his Test debut, slammed 225 runs in just 3 ODIs and 602 runs in 20 T20I appearances since the last year.
