IPL 2022: KL Rahul achieves UNIQUE MILESTONE, becomes only third Indian batsman to score 400+ runs in IPL five consecutive seasons
KL Rahul continued his sublime form in IPL 2022 as he raced to yet another half-century against the Delhi Capitals on Sunday. The Lucknow Super Giants captain, who already has two centuries to his name this season, also went past 400 runs for the season, marking the fifth consecutive time that the Indian opener has managed to do so. During his four seasons in Punjab, Rahul was amongst the leading run-getters in the tournament in each of those years.

Shikhar Dhawan and Suresh Raina are among the other Indians to have done it, alonsgide David Warner. Dhawan has scored 400+ in each of his last six seasons, and is on course to pass the mark once again, having amassed 307 already so far. Suresh Raina also managed to score 400+ for seven straight seasons from 2008 to 2014, earning him the title of Mr IPL.
David Warner is the only overseas star to do so, having also scored 400 runs in seven seasons on the trot while with the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Warner started his streak in 2013 when he managed 410 runs. He followed it up by scoring 528 runs in 2014, 562 runs in 2015, 848 runs in 2016, 641 runs in 2017, 692 runs in 2018, and 548 runs in 2020.
