While the official jerseys of the teams have not been released yet, fans have come up with fantastic concept kits for their beloved teams. Check out the concept kits of the eight existing franchises:

1. Mumbai Indians (MI): Mumbai Indians are the five-time champions who tend to not experiment with their jersey a lot. The front jersey sponsor will change to Slice as the Indian company has signed a new deal with the Rohit Sharma-led side. Here’s how the concept kit looks:

2. Chennai Super Kings (CSK): Chennai Super Kings are one of the most successful teams in this competition. Like Mumbai, the four-time champions also tend to stick to a set pattern when it comes to their jersey. They will sport the TVS Eurogrip logo.

3. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR): Kolkata Knight Riders have won this competition twice previously – in 2012 and 2014. MPL will continue to be their front-jersey sponsor. Check out their concept kit.

4. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH): Sunrisers Hyderabad are the champions of 2016 but have not been able to look convincing in their last few seasons. While SRH revealed their new jersey, the actual jersey will be a little different. On Feb 9, they released their new colour, a new shade of orange for the IPL 2022 season.

5. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB): Royal Challengers Bangalore are one of the only three teams who have not lifted the trophy yet. They tend to go with two jerseys for a season.

6. Delhi Capitals (DC): Delhi have looked formidable ever since they rebranded themselves as Capitals. Here’s their new concept kit – DC is continuing with JSW Paints as their FRONT JERSEY PARTNER.

7. Punjab Kings (PBKS): Having started as Kings XI Punjab, the Punjab team rebranded themselves as Kings last season. They could go with an all-red kit. PBKS is in its last year of deal with Ebix Cash.

8. Lucknow Super Giants: The newest IPL franchise owned by RPSG Group will sport the MyCircle11 logo at the front of the jersey. Check what could be their jersey.

10: Rajasthan Royals: are expected to keep their same jersey as last year while Ahemdabad are off to a slow start. With just a week left for the Auction and they are yet to decide on their name.

RR is the only team which is yet to announce their TITLE SPONSOR.

The ten teams have retained a total of 33 players and have spent INR 343.7 crore. Check out which players have been retained:

  • 556.3 Cr will be showered on 12th & 13th Dec on signing of 217 players.

This will be the 15th season of the IPL and some of the biggest stars of world cricket will be coming together to light up the prestigious tournament.

Amongst 590 players who have registered for the auction, 228 are capped players, 355 are uncapped players and 7 belong to Associate Nations.

A fierce battle to acquire the services of some of the finest Indian cricketing talent is on the cards when the likes of Shreyas Iyer, Shikhar Dhawan, R Ashwin, Mohammad Shami, Ishan Kishan, Ajinkya Rahane, Suresh Raina, Yuzvendra Chahal, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav, etc. go under the hammer.

The 10 IPL franchisees – Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Lucknow Super Giants, Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Team Ahmedabad will also be bidding to have some of the biggest cricketing names – Faf du Plessis, David Warner, Pat Cummins, Kagiso Rabada, Trent Boult, Quinton de Kock, Jonny Bairstow, Jason Holder, Dwayne Bravo, Shakib Al Hasan, Wanindu Hasaranga, etc. – in their squad.

INR 2 crore is the highest reserve price and as many as 48 players have chosen to place themselves in this bracket.

There are 20 players in the auction list with a reserve price of INR 1.5 crore while 34 players are in the list of cricketers with a reserve price of INR 1 crore.

A total of 370 Indian players and 220 overseas players will be up for grabs in what promises to be an action-packed IPL 2022 Player Auction in Bengaluru.
