1. Romario Shepherd
Romario ShepherdIn a bid to secure a hard-hitting all-rounder, Sunrisers Hyderabad broke their bank on Romario Shepherd, the 27-year-old utility cricketer from West Indies. Shepherd rose to fame with his excellent display for Guyana Amazon Warriors in the Caribbean Premier League, which got him to the national side as well. He has picked up 12 wickets in 14 T20I matches and has also scored 117 runs. He was bought by the Orange Army for INR 7.75 crore.
2. Odean Smith
Odean SmithLike Shepherd, Odean Smith is another player who rose to fame for his outstanding display for the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the CPL. He has scored 49 runs and picked up 7 wickets in 8 T20I matches, while in the recently-concluded ODI series against India, he scored 60 runs and picked up 3 wickets in two matches. He has been roped in by Punjab Kings for INR 6 crore.

3. Dewald Brevis

Dewald Brevis, who caught everyone’s attention for his de Villiers-like batting style in the recently-concluded U19 Cricket World Cup, has been signed by Mumbai Indians for INR 3 crore.

4. Abhinav Manohar
27-year-old batter from Karnataka, Abhinav Manohar fetched big bucks in what will be only his first IPL season. He has played only four T20 matches for his state team but did enough to impress the scouts, as he smashed 162 runs. Gujarat Titans shelled out INR 2.60 crore.

5. Dominic Drakes
Franchises have shown their trust in lesser-known Caribbean players, as besides Shepherd and Smith, Dominic Drakes has also bagged a decent deal in his debut IPL campaign. Another find of the CPL, the 24-year-old all-rounder has picked up only two wickets in his four T20I matches, he has shown his mettle in St Kitts and Nevis Patriots’ colours. He has been picked up by Gujarat Titans for INR 1.10 crore.
