Most Centuries
Chris Gayle currently holds the record for the most number of centuries in the history of IPL. Chris Gayle has scored six centuries while RCB skipper Virat Kohli is second in the list with five centuries under his belt. Virat is in sublime form in IPL 2021 where he has scored 198 runs in seven games. He will aim to level or surpass Chris Gayle’s record this year. SRH opener David Warner is also on the list who needs two centuries to level the record.
IPL 2021: Most Fifties
Former SRH captain David Warner currently holds the record for scoring the most number of the fifties in the history of IPL. Warner has hit 50 fifties in IPL while 2nd in the list Shikhar Dhawan has 44 half-centuries. Dhawan is the orange cap holder in IPL 2021 thus he will also want to achieve yet another record in IPL.
Most Wickets
Former Sri Lanka bowler Lasith Malinga, who retired from IPL way back in 2019 is still holding the record of taking the most number of the wicket in IPL’s history. Malinga has 170 wickets to his name while Amit Mishra is just four wickets away from levelling the record. Playing for Delhi Capitals, Mishra will aim to claim this big IPL record.
IPL 2021: Most Dot Balls
KKR’s Harbhajan Singh owns the record of bowling most dot balls in the history of IPL. He has bowled 1,268 dot balls. R Ashwin is second in the list while Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Sunil Narine are third and fourth.
Most Maiden Overs
Former Gujarat Lions bowler Praveen Kumar holds the record of bowling the most number of maiden overs in the history of IPL. He has bowled 14 maiden overs. Irfan Pathan is second in the list with 10 maiden overs followed by Lasith Malinga and Dhawal Kulkarni with 8 maiden overs. Among current players, Sandeep Sharma and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have bowled 8 maiden overs so far.
