IPL 2021 – Kumar Sangakkara Chak-De Speech: Rajasthan Royals Director of Cricket- Kumar Sangakkara gave one of the most motivating speeches to the Rajasthan players as they head into the second phase of IPL 2021. Sanju Samson’s side was left completely awestruck with words of former Sri Lankan great.

The veteran player wants the team to focus on what they have, believe in it and give the best shot. Moreover, he wants RR players to raise their intensity for the remainder of the tournament.

IPL 2021 – Kumar Sangakkara Chak-De Speech: Royals has lost some of their top players to injuries or other issues and is one of the hardest hit franchise before the IPL 2021 Phase 2 in UAE. Sangakkara spoke to his players and told them that should not think about the players who are not here but about the job in hand.

I don’t want anyone thinking or talking about what we don’t have in the squad. It doesn’t matter. Who we have is more than enough for us to do the job,” Kumar Sangakkara said.

Besides, the 43-year old was elated to see everyone in the squad. He acknowledged each players’ hard work and wanted each player to take one game at a time- build upon the skill and confidence.

New Zealand’s swashbuckling batsman Glenn Phillips was rewarded for his excellent T20 record. He has amassed 3998 runs in 144 T20s with 4 centuries and 25 fifties. He can establish himself as a vital cog in the Rajasthan Royals setup.

Tabraiz Shamsi for Andrew Tye

World No.1 T20I bowler Tabraiz Shamsi replaced Australia’s Andrew Tye. The South Africa spinner is a consistent performer in the T20 format. He will look to spin a web against opposition as RR eyes playoff spot.

Evin Lewis for Jos Buttler

Swashbuckling West Indies batsman is a like-to-like replacement for Jos Buttler. Once he gets going, Lewis can go to on score quickfire fifties or even centuries. He is expected to play some crucial innings as Rajasthan Royals search for their only second trophy in the Indian Premier League.

Oshane Thomas for Ben Stokes

Oshane Thomas, who was left out in IPL 2021 auction, has been given an opportunity to prove himself. The West Indies pacer needs to overcome his lean patch in the ongoing CPL 2021 if he makes it to the RR playing XI.
