Recently, in a video shared by RCB on Twitter, the opening batsman was seen in his sublime form as he smashed the big hits in the nets during one of RCB’s practice sessions.

The 10-second clip featured Padikkal smashing big shots across the stadium. With sixes sailing over mid-off, deep mid-wicket, covers, and point, the 21-year old made the hits seem like child’s play during the training. It seems like Padikkal wants to replicate in previous IPL form this time as well where he emerged as the leading run-scorer for his side.
IPL 2021: Devdutt Padikkal stint with bat for RCB
The 21-year old made headlines right in his debut IPL season where he emerged as one of the leading run-scorers for RCB. In IPL 2020, he played 15 matches for the red brigade, amassed 473 runs and returned with an economy of 31.53.
In this season of IPL, Padikkal aggregated 195 runs in the six matches he played in the first leg and returned with an economy of 39.
IPL 2021: RCB schedule for Phase 2
Virat Kohli led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) displayed promising performance in the first leg of the tournament in India. After the season was abruptly called off in May, the red brigade sat in the third position on the points table.
