IPL 2021: After Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Punjab Kings (PK) is all set to begin preparations for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 14. The KL Rahul-led side will start its training camp after March 15. “We will start the training camp between March 15 and 20,” Punjab Kings CEO Satish Menon told InsideSport.

However, the IPL franchise is yet to decide its venue for the training camp. Menon says they will conduct the camp close to their first IPL match venue. “We haven’t decided on the location yet but it will be somewhere near to our first IPL match venue,” he added. Punjab will play their first game against Rajasthan Royals in Mumbai.

All the players have to undergo a five-day mandatory quarantine period and clear three rounds of covid testing before they will be allowed for training.

“Players will have to follow the BCCI guidelines in place for COVID-19. They undergo quarantine, after which they will enter the bio-bubble,” Punjab Kings CEO said.

Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings will begin their training camp from March 9.

IPL 2021 Date, Schedule and Venue

The IPL Governing Council announced the schedule for Indian Premier League 2021 to be held in India. After nearly two years, the IPL extravaganza will return home with Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai & Kolkata hosting the marquee event.

The season will kickstart on 9th April, 2021 in Chennai with a high octane clash between defending champions Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore. The World’s Largest Cricket Stadium – Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will host the Playoffs as well as the final on 30th May, 2021 which promises to be a visual spectacle. The newly-built stadium that hosted India’s second Pink Ball fixture at home with great grandeur will host its first-ever IPL.
