Punjab Kings replacement – We take a look at the possible five replacements.

1) Neil Wagner

One of the best left-arm pacers in the circuit, New Zealand’s Neil Wagner might get a look in as a possible second replacement for Punjab Kings. The medium pace bowler has been impressive with the red ball and is known for his exploits with the new ball. Although swing is his forte, Wagner has added the reverse swing to his arsenal and could be a potential match winner. Although the pacer has never played for New Zealand in T20Is with 79 wickets in 76 matches in the domestic circuit, Wagner is a bowler to watch out for.

2) Naveen-ul-Haq

Players from Afghanistan have always delivered the goods and young fast bowler Naveen-ul-Haq is all set to join the IPL bandwagon and can serve Punjab Kings’ purpose. He is known for his slow variations and death overs bowling and has won matches for Afghanistan in the limited-overs format. In 67 T20s the bowler has picked 84 wickets with 4/14 as best figures.

3) Jason Behrendroff

A new ball specialist,Jason Behrendroff has the ability to pick wickets upfront and his ability to swing the ball with good pace makes him a contender. The left-arm bowler has played 81 T20 matches and has picked 90 wickets with 4/21 as best bowling figures.

4) Chris Green

An off-spinner who has made his name by bowling inside the Powerplay, Chris Green ticks the box and will also come handy with the bat. The Australian has earned a reputation of being a tactful bowler and is in demand across the globe.

5) Anikit Rajpoot

In 29 matches, Rajpoot has picked 24 wickets including a five-wicket haul (5/14). Incidentally, he was playing for then Kings XI Punjab (Punjab Kings) and achieved the feat against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2018 IPL.
