IPL 2021: Mayank Markande: Rajasthan Royals leg spinner Mayank Markande is all set for the IPL 2021 Phase 2. After missing out on IPL 2021 India leg, he has started working on his batting skills to ensure he gets a chance in the UAE leg. The 23-year-old is already a standout bowler for the franchise. Adding batting to his armory can help him make a strong statement to make it to the playing XI for Rajasthan Royals. The franchise is yet to confirm the availability of stalwarts like Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler. Markande can use this opportunity to step up for RR as they look to enter playoffs by making amendments in UAE leg.
In a video shared by RR on Twitter, Markande can be seen smashing big sixes in the nets. He is getting coached on how to keep to play different deliveries and keep the right body posture. Sharing the picture on Instagram, RR wrote, “Mayank’s making a 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒌 with his bat too.”

IPL 2021: Rajasthan Royals: The likes of India bowlers in Lord’s- Mohd Shami and Jasprit Bumrah could be the reason behind Markande’s new role. It is notable that the two bowlers changed the context of the match with their batting ability. Coming back to the IPL, RR would be looking to start off with a win against Punjab Kings. Rajasthan Royals had a dismal performance in the UAE leg last year. Can they change their fortunes in Phase 2?
