The Australian all-rounder wrote, “Some of the garbage that has been following on social media is absolutely disgusting! We are human beings who are giving our best each and every day. RCB vs KKR Eliminator: The defeat against KKR and the subsequent trolling marked a sour end to what has been a top season for Glenn Maxwell. The Australian all-rounder, who has struggled in the IPL, over the past few seasons, got the monkey off his back with some consistent performances in both phases of the IPL, finishing off as the fifth-highest run-getter in the season.
Maxwell aggregated 513 runs in 14 innings for RCB and was their leading run-scorer, striking at 144.10 and at an average of 42.75. His six half-centuries are the joint-most this season by a player, to go along with Orange Cap leader KL Rahul. He was also a handy customer with the ball, chipping in with 3 wickets, repaying the trust RCB put in him when they splashed a whopping ₹14.25 crore on him.
