IPL 2021 Phase 2 – Kuldeep Yadav blasts KKR Management: IPL 2021 Phase 2 in UAE before being ball is bowled has started on a rocky not for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Team’s premier spin bowler, Kuldeep Yadav has literally blasted the team management & captain Eoin Morgan for treating him shabbily. The left-arm chinaman bowler has played sporadically for the two-time champions, with captain Eoin Morgan opting to use the riches of Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy at his disposal. According to Yadav, what pains him is ‘lack of communication by the team captain and the team management’.

– In IPL 2021 – He is yet to play any of the 7 matches KKR has played

– In IPL 2020 – He played 5 matches without much success.

IPL 2021: Kuldeep Yadav blasts KKR management, captain Eoin Morgan, ‘no communication exists in IPL team’

IPL 2021 Phase 2 – Kuldeep Yadav blasts KKR Management: In an interview with Aakash Chopra, Yadav revealed that there was a clear lack of communication from the team management, and he was left in the dark regarding their plans to use him or not, and what he could have done to improve his chances.

“If the coaches have worked with you before and are with you for a prolonged period of time, they understand you better. But it becomes very difficult when the communication is weak. Sometimes you don’t even know that whether you will be playing or not, or what the team expects from you. Sometimes you feel that you are deserving to play, can win matches for the team, but you don’t know the reason why you are not playing. The management comes for 2 months with their plans, so that makes it difficult.”

IPL 2021 Phase 2 – Kuldeep Yadav blasts KKR Management: Yadav asks reason for benching him in the last two editions

Yadav added that while he was shocked to be benched so often over the last two editions and was disappointed with the team’s lack of faith in his skillset. The left-arm chinaman added, “I remember that I had spoken to the franchise before the IPL but in the matches that happened in the middle, nobody gave me an explanation. I was a bit shocked. I felt like there was no trust like they had no faith in my skill. This happens when the team has many options. KKR now has plenty of spin bowling options.”

IPL 2021 Phase 2: Kuldeep Yadav also took a dig at captain Eoin Morgan, suggesting that having an Indian captain of the team makes a whole lot of difference. KKR did have Dinesh Karthik at the helm before Morgan stepped in midway through last season. Yadav said, “I don’t know how Eoin Morgan sees me. In such cases, the communication gap increases. When it’s an Indian, you can literally walk up to them and ask why you are not playing. Suppose, Rohit Sharma is the captain, you can ask freely on ways to improve, what’s my role in the team but most importantly, the captain should also be interested in what he expects from me.”
