IPL 2021: SRH’s Kedar Jadhav finds form in Vijay Hazare Trophy- Kedar Jadhav is finally back to form after two devasting seasons for CSK in the IPL. The 35-year-old who will play for the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in IPL 2021 has scored 86 and unbeaten 101 runs in his last two outings for Maharashtra in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021. The right-handed batsman would look to carry the current form heading into the IPL 2021.

Kedar Jadhav in the last two IPL editions

Jadhav had a devastating IPL 2020 season for the Chennai Super Kings. He scored just 62 runs in his eight matches. Jadhav had also failed to do well for CSK in IPL 2019 where he managed 162 runs in 14 matches at an average of 18. It included one half-century. His poor form left him out of the National Team. CSK also released him ahead of the IPL 2021 auction.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad have shown faith in the batsman. They bought Jadhav for his base price of Rs 2 crore.

Why Kedar Jadhav’s form is crucial for SRH in IPL 2021?

Sunrisers Hyderabad top order have batting firepowers like David Warner, Jonny Bairstow, Manish Pandey and Kane Williamson. But there are inexperienced players in the middle-order, namely Priyam Garg and Abdul Samad. Kedar Jadhav can receive assistance from the duo and fulfil the role of a finisher for the SRH.

Besides SRH can only play four overseas players including skipper Warner. The other three permanent players in the 11 are Rashid Khan, Williamson and Jonny Bairstow. Even Mohammad Nabi could not get enough games in the IPL 2019. The presence of Jason Holder and Mitchell Marsh also adds to their worries.

Thus, Kedar Jadhav is likely to play all the 14 matches of the IPL 2021. He can prove to be a match-winner for the Orange army.

Moreover, he knows how to finish off matches. He has shown that for India in the limited-overs format.

SRH squad of IPL 2021 David Warner (C), Abhishek Sharma, Basil Thampi, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jonny Bairstow, Kane Williamson, Manish Pandey, Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan, Sandeep Sharma, Shahbaz Nadeem, Shreevats Goswami, Siddarth Kaul, Khaleel Ahmed, T Natarajan, Vijay Shankar, Wriddhiman Saha, Virat Singh, Priyam Garg, Mitchell Marsh, Jason Holder, Abdul Samad
