Rahul Tripathi scored a blistering 98* in the practice game following up Shubman Gill’s half-century as KKR players got into their groove ahead of the resumption of the IPL 2021. languishing at seventh in the points table, the two-time champions need to turn their fortunes around if they have to qualify for the playoffs, and the form of Tripathi and Gill will certainly please captain Eoin Morgan and head coach Brendon McCullum. With 7 remaining games, KKR needs a minimum of 5 victories and will hope others in contention slip. KKR have to lock horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Delhi Capitals (DC), Punjab Kings (PBKS), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Rajasthan Royals (RR), Mumbai Indians (MI), and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the remaining 7 matches.
