IPL 2021 Controversies: David Warner out of playing XI, asked to stay in hotel
Sunrisers Hyderabad veteran cricketer David Warner, who is one of the leading run-scorers for their team and was the captain of the side when they lift the trophy in 2016, was removed from the captaincy in 2021 and was then removed from the playing XI as well.

IPL 2021 Controversies: R Ashwin called ‘CHEAT’ as he had spat with Tim Southee and Eoin Morgan
Delhi Capitals bowler R Ashwin and Kolkata Knight Riders pacer Tim Southee were involved in a heated exchange after the former was dismissed by Southee in the last over of the DC innings at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Tuesday. Skipper Eoin Morgan and Dinesh Karthik intervened to prevent any escalation of the event. In a video, we can see R Ashwin showing his dissent over a verbal remark made by the New Zealand pacer.

DC skipper Rishabh Pant and Ashwin had picked a second run off the last ball of the 19th over and that seemed to have irked the KKR outfit as some consider it to be against the guidelines of Fair Play to take a run when the ball thrown by the fielder ricochets off the batter. It finally needed former KKR skipper Eoin Morgan to come and stop the heated chat. DC coach Ricky Ponting was also seen speaking to umpire Nitin Menon during the innings break. While one isn’t sure about the topic that was discussed by the two, it could be the same point.
IPL 2021 Controversies: Kuldeep Yadav not worth KKR XI, Indian spinner accuse franchise & captain for ‘NO communication’
Kuldeep Yadav has played just 5 games for KKR since 2019 IPL. The talismanic spinner who was once India’s premier spinner in the shortest format of the game was not picked by KKR in the playing XI for over 20 matches. Things changed drastically since the 2019 IPL when Kuldeep had a slump in form and since then his career went southwards as the Indian team management lost faith in his abilities even on rank turners, where classical left-arm orthodox Shahbaz Nadeem was picked from the stand-by, but Kuldeep, who was in the main squad, didn’t get a chance.

The 26-year-old from Kanpur has played 7 Tests, 65 ODIs and 23 T20Is for a total of 174 wickets across formats. He last played for India in Sri Lanka but it was more of a middling performance with best figures of 2/48 in an ODI game and 2/30 in a T20 International. He played two more games during that tour — an ODI and a T20I — in which he went wicket-less.
