IPL 2021: Different shades of Chetan Sakariya: Rajasthan Royals toom to social media on Sunday to share a picture of Chetan Sakariya posing with some mouth-watering delicacies for breakfast. The left-arm pacer donned an RR training kit and could be seen holding a plate of jalebis and fafda, in what is a typical morning snack in Gujarat, a state where he hails from. The 2008 IPL champions cheekily captioned the post as “Address dede” and it became an instant hit among fans on social media.

During the offseason, Chetan Sakariya has donned various hats and previously showed insight into how he worked as an accountant at a stationery store before his big break in the IPL. In an Instagram story, the franchisee person showed Sakariya maintaining the accounts of a stationery shop owned by his uncle. Set up in a local space, the clip featured the bowler saying ‘This is where I started from’ and then hovered on the collection of pens, books, and other stationary stuff placed in the shop.
Sakariya has had a year of strife and great joy, and the left-arm pacer will hope that the latter can continue when he resumes his duties for the Rajasthan Royals. After losing his brother and father, Sakariya experienced the joy of making it big in the IPL and earned an India call up to the tour of Sri Lanka. In Phase 1, Chetan picked up seven wickets in seven games, at an impressive economy of 8.22.
