IPL 2021 Phase 2 – Rishabh Pant Delhi Capitals: Last week when InsideSport reached out to Delhi Capitals officials, they were divided over the captaincy issue. But the franchise seems to have found a way. They are determined to keep Rishabh Pant as the captain at least for the remainder of the IPL 2021. The reason behind the decision is that Shreyas Iyer is still making a recovery and hasn’t played any competitive match since March this year having undergone shoulder surgery.

“I am feeling on top of the world, to be honest. This was the thing I was eagerly waiting for. It’s never a bad feeling to be among the team. I came six days prior to the start of the practice sessions for the team, and I had two good games against the UAE team, so I just want to continue with the same momentum,” Shreyas Iyer said in a Delhi Capitals press release.
