IPL 2021: Only a few players who hail from Bihar have gone on to make a name in cricket. Mumbai Indians’ Ishan Kishan is one of them. His blistering fifty on his debut in T20 series against India was enough to announce his arrival at the international scene. Now, it is Delhi Capitals new 6 feet 3 inches signing Harsh Bikram Singh’s chance to prove his mettle at the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021.

IPL 2021: Who is DC’s new signing Harsh Bikram Singh?

Harsh, 25, hails from Mallehpur in Jamui. The youngster is known for his raw pace and would be a good backup for DC’s South African pace battery of Kagiso Rabada and Anriche Nortje. He did engineering and during his college days, he was known for batting too.

He left Jamui to complete his engineering degree from Delhi. He has also captained his university team. In his first Ranji Trophy match in 2018, he played an important role in Bihar’s victory. In the match, Bihar had lost nine wickets for 80 runs against Nagaland. Harsh, who into bat as No.10, played an impressive 48 runs knocks. Bihar went on to win that game.

Harsh is also known for hitting long sixes and can provide that much-needed depth to the DC batting line-up. The Bihar-born had impressed Shikhar Dhawan and Ajinkya Rahane will his bowling prowess in the nets.

He was also part of the Rajasthan Royals squad in IPL 2020 and travelled with the team to Dubai.
