IPL 2021: David Warner to join Chennai Super Kings? – The most consistent player of all time in the IPL, David Warner, was snubbed by the Sunrisers Hyderabad after the Australian underwent a poor form. While he complained he was never given an explanation, the IPL winning captain in his recent post on Instagram indicated that he has made up his mind to embrace another colour and that might very well be of MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings.
In a fall from grace, not only he was replaced as the SRH captain with Kane Williamson taking charge in a season that was marred by poor performances, injuries, Covid-19 outbreak and pullouts, Sunrisers Hyderabad finished at the bottom of the table with just six points having scored the least runs, winning just three and losing 11 matches.

David Warner had already bid goodbye to the franchise after being left out of the squad completely and hit back at SRH team management. Now, he has shared a fan art with him donning a CSK jersey. Could that be the hint of joining CSK in IPL 2022? But he soon deleted the post.
“I wasn’t sure who to go for tonight but I could not say no to this Fan who asked me to post this!!” David Warner captioned the post.

David Warner has played 95 matches for SRH, scoring 4,014 runs at a staggering average of 49.56 and 40 half-centuries. He had maintained a strike rate of 142.59. But this season, his stats came crashing down. It was his poor strike rate that was made the reason but SRH never gave any justification.
This time, he scored 195 runs in 8 matches at an average of 24.37 and a strike rate of 107.73, a huge downfall from his previous stats. David Warner hit back at the SRH team management for not explaining why he was dropped.
“With the utmost respect for the owners, Trevor Baylis, Laxman, Moody and Murali, when a decision gets made, it has to be a unanimous one. You don’t know who the person is going for you and who isn’t,” David Warner told Sports Today.

“The other disappointing thing for me was not being explained why I was dropped as captain. If you want to go along the lines of form, it is a difficult one because I guess whatever you have done in the past would have some weight moving forward, you would think,” he added.
