IPL 2021: MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina special training to youngsters: Young cricketers across various IPL franchises leave no chance to gain insights from Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni. The case is no different for the CSK youngsters who hang around MS Dhoni to seek advice from the senior player. On many occasions, the big-hearted Indian player Dhoni is seen giving tips to players to hone their cricketing skills. Recently, as CSK is undertaking its practice sessions at the ICC Academy in Dubai, CSK veterans- MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina were seen training the youngsters in the nets.

Currently, as the CSK contingent is warming up as a part of the pre-season camp, the left-handed Tamil Nadu player- Hari Nishaanth was spotted getting some serious batting tips from Suresh Raina. Raina counselled Nishaanth on how to gradually come on the front foot, get on the knees and then play the shot towards the mid-wicket. The left-handed young Tamil Nadu player was bought by CSK for a base price of 20 Lakhs in IPL 2021 auctions following his performance in the 2021 Syed Mushtaq Trophy.
Meanwhile, Narayan Jagadeesan who had played five matches for CSK in IPL 2020 was also seen taking batting practice in the nets.
Besides, Sai Kishore, a left-arm orthodox from Tamil Nadu looked up to MS Dhoni for getting the spin bowling tips. Like Nishaanth, he was bought by CSK at a base price of 20 Lakhs in IPL 2021 auctions.
Earlier, the 41-year old gave some crucial batting advice to CSK opener Ruturaj Gaikwad.
The CSK contingent had been training in Dubai since August 19.
IPL 202: CSK schedule for Phase 2
MS Dhoni-led side came back strongly in the IPL 2021 and is ranked second in the league standings after the end of phase 1.
CSK will kick off its IPL 2021 phase 2 against Mumbai Indians in Dubai and would be looking to continue its dominance.
