Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Capitals in the match no. 27 of Indian Premier League 2020 on Sunday to go on top of the points table.

Chasing a modest 163-runs target, MI crossed the finishing line comfortably with five wickets in hand.

Mumbai have now won five out of their seven games and have 10 points in their kitty.

Meanwhile, the loss saw DC moving down to second position. They have played seven games so far and won five of them.

Earlier in the day, Rajasthan Royals defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by five wickets in the match no. 26 of Indian Premier League 2020 to acquire sixth position in the points tally.

Meanwhile, SRH remained at fifth position despite losing the game. They now have six points from seven games.

Notably, CSK are at the seventh position while KXIP are at the bottom of the points table.

Talking about the  Orange Cap leaderboard, Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner hit 48 runs against Rajasthan Royals on Sunday to move up to fourth spot in the Orange Cap table.

The Australian opener has so far accumulated 275 runs in seven games at an average of 36.71.

Meanwhile, Warner’s teammate Jonny Bairstow moved to fifth spot after he was dismissed cheaply against RR.

Notably, KXIP skipper KL Rahul is still at the top of the Orange Cap table – having scored 387 runs in seven matches so far at an average of 64.50. The 28-year old also has a century and three fifties to his name.

Rahul’s teammate Mayank Agarwal occupies the second position in the highest run-scorer tally as he has 3115 runs in his kitty and his average is 52.50.

On the other hand, Delhi Capitals pacer Kagiso Rabada clinched two wickets against Mumbai Indians in the match no. 27 of Indian Premier League 2020 on Sunday to consolidate his position at the top of the Purple Cap table.

Rabada now has 17 wickets to his name in seven games with an economy rate of 7.69.
Meanwhile, MI pacer Jasprit Bumrah failed to bag a single wicket against DC and he remains second in the tally with 11 wickets in his kitty.

Earlier in the day, SRH spinner Rashid Khan picked two wickets against RR to acquire fourth position in the leading wicket-takers’ list.

The Afghan leggie has bagged 10 wickets so far in IPL 2020.
