The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has reached the halfway stage with all eight teams playing seven games each and the tournament has already witnessed some great and consistent batting and bowling performances by players.
Here we take a look at Orange Cap and Purple Cap leaders at the halfway mark of IPL 2020.
KL Rahul continues to be in possession of the Orange Cap – having scored 387 runs in seven matches so far at an average of 64.50. The Kings XI Punjab skipper also has a century and three fifties to his name.

Rahul’s teammate Mayank Agarwal occupies the second position in the highest run-scorer tally as he has 3115 runs in his kitty and his average is 52.50. He has scored two fifties and a century so far in the tournament.
Chennai Super Kings‘ opener Faf du Plessis follows at third position with 307 runs in his kitty which included three fifties. He has an average of 61.40.
Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner occupies the fourth spot in the Orange Cap table. The Australian opener has so far accumulated 275 runs in seven games at an average of 36.71. He has two half-centuries till now.

Warner’s teammate Jonny Bairstow is on the fifth spot with 257 runs, including three fifties, to his name.

Talking about the Purple Cap table, Delhi Capitals pacer Kagiso Rabada’s tally of 17 wickets makes him the leading wicket-taker at IPL 2020 halfway mark. He has an economy rate of 7.69.
The South African has opened up a six-wicket lead over Mumbai Indians fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, who, with 11 wickets is second. His economy rate reads 7.92.
Third on the list is Bumrah’s teammate Trent Boult, having clinched 11 wickets. The southpaw has an economy rate of 8.01.

Boult is followed by Sunrisers Hyderabad leg-spinner Rashid Khan, who has bagged 10 wickets so far and has a superb economy rate of 5.03 runs.
Royal Challengers Bangalore spinner Yuzvendra Chahal is fifth in the Purple Cap tally as he has clinched 10 wickets and his economy rate is 7.07.
