As the gap to IPL Auction 2020 closes in, the excitement among the fans to see their players go under the hammer increases even more. IPL Auction will be hosted for the first time in Kolkata this year.

For the 13th season of this cash-rich league, there were registrations from as many as 971 players all around the world with just 332 players getting shortlisted to go under the hammer. Players as young as 14-year-old Noor Ahmad from Afghanistan and as old as 48 years old Pravin Tambe will be seen going under the hammer and getting bids from the franchises.

IPL Auction 2020 Date, Time and Venue
The IPL auction 2020 will be held in Kolkata this year on December 19. This is the first time when Kolkata is hosting the event. The IPL auction will start at 2:30 pm on the mentioned date and will go on till evening. BCCI had changed the timing of the auction a few years back to draw maximum viewers.

The Indian Premier League auction can be watched on Star Sports as well as Hotstar. Fans can catch the LIVE action of IPL 2020 auctions on December 19 from 2:30 pm on Star Sports 1 Hindi/1 HD Hindi, Star Sports First, 1 Tamil, 1 Telugu, 1 Kannada, 1 Bangla; and from 3:20 PM on “Select Dugout Auction Special” on Select 1/1 HD and Hotstar. The IPL auction 2020 live streaming online will also be available on Hotstar.

Some big names who will be featuring in the IPL Auction 2020 will be 2019 world cup winning skipper Eoin Morgan, Australia’s skipper Aaron Finch, the likes of Glenn Maxwell, Chris Lynn, Jason Roy and also the three players from the associate nations. The IPL Auction will also witness India’s future generation getting a feel of this mega league and players like Priyam Garg, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Aryan Juyal who will soon be featuring in the U19 world cup will also be the ones going under the hammer.
