Musheer Khan has fully recovered from the neck injury he suffered last year and joined the Punjab Kings (PBKS) training camp for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. For the uninformed, Musheer was travelling with his father, Naushan Khan, from Kanpur to Lucknow when they got into a road accident in September, 2024.
Musheer was admitted to a hospital subsequently and was ruled out of the Irani Cup. Neither the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) nor the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) provided an estimated time for recovery for the 19-year-old. He’s since missed the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT), the Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT), and the second leg of the Ranji Trophy.

The 19-year-old is a batting all-rounder who bats in the middle order and can give a couple of overs of handy left-arm orthodox spin when needed. His T20 game is untested, as he hasn’t played for Mumbai in SMAT yet.
But, he’s shown that he can go big when needed during his Duleep Trophy, where he scored 181 runs against the likes of Khaleel Ahmed, Akash Deep, Avesh Khan, Kuldeep Yadav, and Tanush Kotian. His team (India B) was 94/7 and went on to score 321 runs, all because of him.
