Injured GT spearhead Mohammed Shami wishes Shubman Gill & co all the luck for IPL 2024

Injured GT spearhead Mohammed Shami wishes Shubman Gill & co all the luck for IPL 2024

Shami was the highest wicket taker in the IPL 2023 season and had taken his side to the second consecutive IPL Final after claiming 28 wickets in 17 matches.

Out with injury, Gujarat Titans pace spearhead Mohammed Shami has wished his side success for the IPL 2024 season. The right-arm pacer had suffered an injury during the ODI World Cup 2023 but decided to play through it. Shami has remained out of action since November 19, and the BCCI provided an update on his injury last month.

Earlier this month, the BCCI Secretary announced that the pacer is out of the IPL 2024 and T20 World Cup 2024. With Hardik Pandya already leaving the franchise, his absence has given young captain Shubman Gill a headache. The experienced pacer has taken 48 wickets for the Gujarat Titans in 33 matches for the franchise and remains their highest wicket-taker.
