The Women in Blue successfully defended their title after winning the IND vs. SA Women’s U19 World Cup final. To note, India U19 defeated South Africa U19 in the final of the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025, held at Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur on February 2nd. India, led by Niki Prasad, successfully chased down the target of 82 runs to retain their title.
Gongadi Trisha played a crucial role with the ball as he scalped 3 wickets with the ball and played a good knock with the bat while opening the innings. Speaking more about the match, team India started their chase of 83 runs on a blistering note. Gongadi Trisha took full advantage of the field restrictions and gave her side a quick start. Her partner, G Kamilini was also looking good but was scalped by Reyneke for 8 runs. However, team India suffered no loss after the wicket as they chased down the total with more than 8 overs to spare.
