Earlier, the Indian Women’s team posted a below-par total of 147/6 in series decider. After a brisk start from Shefali Varma and Smriti Mandhana, India lost 5 quick wickets but Richa Ghosh’s 28-ball 34 and contributions from lower order helped India post a defendable total.

India started the T20I series with a commanding 9-wicket win in the opening T20I. However, Australia staged a comeback in the subsequent game, securing a six-wicket victory.
