India’s ace fast bowler Mohammed Shami was seen at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, watching the Duleep Trophy clash between India A and India B. Shami, who is currently recovering from an injury at NCA, Bengaluru, made an appearance at the stadium during the match.
Shami’s road to recovery
Shami has been recovering at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) right now.. A week ago, he resumed bowling in the nets and is gearing up for a return in the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh. His presence in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia will be crucial for India. He has not played in any tournament since the 2023 ODI World Cup, where he was India’s highest wicket-taker.
Pacers dominated on Day 3
The match began with promise for India B, as Yash Dayal removed Riyan Parag for 30 runs off 64 balls. The breakthrough came courtesy of a sharp catch by wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant. India A’s batters found it difficult to gain momentum as the pace duo of Mukesh Kumar and Navdeep Saini kept them under constant pressure.
The fast bowlers dominated the day, taking crucial wickets and putting India A on the back foot. The team was all out for 231, and by stumps, India B had reached 150/6 in their second innings, leading by 256 runs.
