India cricket team’s chances for the IND vs SA 1st Test have taken a hit. With around 24 hours left before the start of play in the Boxing Day Test, Team India might have to cancel their final practice session. Rohit Sharma and Co. have been preparing for the 2-match Test series rigorously, but their winning chances might have taken a hit.
The reason behind the likely cancellation of the final practice session is the weather in Centurion. Since last night (December 24), there has been persistent rain in the region. Due to rain and wet outfield conditions, practicing outside may prove too costly for India.
Indoor practice ahead of the IND vs SA 1st Test?
With outdoor practice likely to be cancelled, the India cricket team might have to settle for an indoor practice session. While it won’t work wonders due to an artificial pitch and atmosphere, it will help the batters and bowlers get into the rhythm.
