If all goes well, the Indian speedster could be featuring against Warwickshire next week. Kent have a strong bowling line-up with Mark Henry also set to feature for the team, helping them resemble a strong pace attack.
Kent decided to rope in a pacer like Saini, who will add zing to their attack and play an important role in their fortunes next season.
“In a year when it’s been difficult to take wickets, we’re excited to have the opportunity to add a fast bowler of Navdeep’s quality to our squad,” Kent’s Director of Cricket, Paul Downton said.
Navdeep Saini was once one of the fastest bowlers of India, but the player has had problems with injuries. The competition in the Indian team has only increased in the last 12-18 months, and this opportunity with Kent comes as the right time to prove him mettle and probably make a comeback.
