The IND vs ENG Test series is just a week away. Ahead of the mega important series, former India cricketer Parthiv Patel has banked heavily on the Indian Cricket Team. Parthiv went on to claim that India will target for a 5-0 white wash against England. A comprehensive win in the series means India will go on to top the WTC Standings.
Team India is now placed in the 2nd spot of the WTC Standings. A whitewash means, India will replace Australia for the top spot in the table
“I think the Indian team will aim for 5-0. I think they need a 4-0 win to get to the top of the WTC standings. Looking at the last cycle, India won a lot of overseas Tests. I don’t think India need to change their approach,” Parthiv Patel told Jio Cinema.
Former India star Parthiv believes India has been successful in Test, especially in overseas conditions. As a result, Rohit Sharma and Co do not need to change their approach in the game. Parthiv has also raised questions on whether England’s Bazball approach will work in India or not?
“It’s the visiting teams that have to come up with different strategies. It remains to be seen whether Bazball will work here or not. If the ball spins, I don’t think it will work here because there’s too much quality in India’s spin attack that includes Ashwin, Jadeja, Axar and Kuldeep,” Parthiv concluded.
