He achieved the milestone by deceiving Hasan Mahmud of Bangladesh during the first Test at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Before coming to Chepauk, Chennai, Bumrah was at 397, but within a few minutes of bowling in the first innings, he first dismissed Shadman Islam, clearing his stumps. Then, the Bangladesh legend Mushfiqur Rahim got under his trap, and the 400th came when he removed Hasan Mahmud.
Now it’s important to mention that he is the fifth quickest Indian to take 400 wickets, achieving this in 227 matches.
