However, worrying signs came from outside of the Pallekele Stadium, where the venue officials denied Indian super fans entry into the stadium. The reason? The local authorities had security concerns from the rod that held the Indian flags.
Insidesport’s Abhishek Shetty, who is currently in Kandy, covering the match, revealed the developments. It is reported that these fans are contacting BCCI officials in order to get entry with the flags and rods.
