MPL Fire 100 Employees – MPL Co-Founder Sai Srinivas informed about the move via internal memo to employees.
The Memo said the “philosophy of growth at all costs is now reversed” and that the “market is now rewarding profitable growth”.

Some of the top sponsors of just concluded IPL 2022 also have now adopted a cost-cutting approach.
- Edtech brand Unacademy, the official partner of IPL 2022 and sponsor of Kolkata Knight Riders team, recently laid off around 600 employees which is about 10 per cent of the company’s total workforce.
- Meesho, the sponsor of IPL’s official broadcaster Star Sports and the Gujarat and Rajasthan teams, has laid off 150 employees from its grocery business.
- Swiggy sponsor for IPL Central & LIVE Streaming partner is also scaling down operations of its subscription-based morning delivery service SuprDaily
