Rohit Sharma Injury Update: But most importantly, captain Rohit Sharma is likely out of the Bangladesh tour. He confirmed that he has dislocated his thumb. He also have a few stitches.
How Rohit got injured? – It was during Bangladesh’s innings when Rohit tried to take a catch of Anamul Haque in the 2nd slip. But the ball hit the surface and hit Rohit Sharma on the thumb. He immediately started bleeding from the thumb. The physios took him off field and rushed him to the hospital for scans.
“The thumb injury isn’t too great. Some dislocation and some stitches. Fortunately, not a fracture and so, I was able to bat,” Rohit Sharma said after the match.
India head coach Rahul Dravid later confirmed that Rohit Sharma will fly back to Mumbai and will miss the 3rd ODI. Kuldeep Sen & Deepak Chahar are also out of the series.
“Rohit Sharma will miss the 3rd ODI, he will fly back to Mumbai to consult an expert – Kuldeep Sen & Deepak Chahar are out of the series,” Dravid said at the post-match press conference.
