India Women T20 WC Schedule: The Women’s Premier League auction is just around the corner but Indian women are firmly focused on their T20 World Cup campaign. The WPL auction is slated to be held on February 13 in Mumbai, a day after Women’s in Blue T20 World Cup opener against Pakistan. But before their first game of the tournament, India will take on Australia in the first warm-up match of the T20 World Cup 2023 on Monday at 6 PM (IST). After the Women’s T20I Tri-Series in South Africa where India came close but couldn’t cross the final hurdle. The Women in Blue is now looking to go better at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023. Notably, India’s record against Australia isn’t too encouraging. Their first warm-up fixture ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup holds the utmost significance.

Ahead of WPL 2023, India captain Harmanpreet Kaur said that the team is motivated to do well in the upcoming edition of the T20 Women’s World Cup. With just seven days before India vs Pakistan match, the Indian skipper insisted that the team will draw inspiration from the U19 World Cup triumph.

“After watching the U19 World Cup, we are motivated to do what they have done. They have motivated us to do well, they have done it and we have not done it yet,” said Harmanpreet.

Harmanpreet added, “The World Cup is more important than anything else. Our focus is on the ICC trophy. These things will keep coming, and as a player, you know what’s important for you and how you need to keep your focus.”

Apart from Pakistan, India will also face England, West Indies, and Ireland in the group stage.
