India vs South Africa: Men in Blue will play three ODIs against South Africa starting from December 17. The first ODI will be very special for South Africa as they will don the pink jersey. Keeping up with the tradition every year of the start of the home season, this time Temba Bauvma & Co will be seen in Pink to raise awareness about breast cancer.

After the culmination of the T20 series, India will battle it out with the Proteas (India vs South Africa) in ODIs and try to keep their number one ranking intact.

However, the focus will all be on Pink ODI. Apart from the players, even the spectators will be donning Pink color clothes. For a fact, South Africa have a very good record in Pink ODIs, as they have lost only once against Pakistan. The funds raised in this game will go down to Breast Cancer Charitable Trust.

South Africa record in Pink ODIs

South Africa have played five ODIs in Pink Jersey and have raked scores of 340 plus in each of those games. In fact, AB de Villiers had scored the fastest ODI century off just 31 balls against West Indies, donning the Pink jersey. India faced South Africa once in the Pink ODI in 2013. At that time, Quinton de Kock, who was playing his debut series for Proteas scored a century.

The highest total recorded in Pink ODIs is 439/2 by South Africa against West Indies. Typically, the Pink ODI is always played in Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. This time also SA vs IND ODI will be played in in Joburug.
