India vs Pakistan: The rivalry between the cricket fans of India and Pakistan has discovered a fresh and unexpected frontline on the internet: Australian batter Travis Head’s bat. Head slammed a stunning century in the opening innings the World Test Championship Final between India and Australia. Cricket fans from Pakistan were quick to observe that Head appeared to be using a Gray-Nicolls bat they were familiar with. Soon after, footage from the Australian tour of Pakistan and the UAE in 2022 showing Pakistan’s captain and top batter Babar Azam giving Head a bat surfaced. Quick to seize the chance to taunt Indian fans, the Pakistani fans took advantage of the link to make fun of their rivals.

Head’s counterattacking knock, along with Steve Smith’s, helped Australia reach an impressive total of 469, putting tremendous pressure on the Indian team. Head’s innings came to an end at 163 (174), but the damage had already been done, and Australia had taken command of the Test match.

Pakistani fans’ reactions

The batting order was unable to stand strong before the Australian bowling assault, despite the Indian bowlers gaining momentum on Day 2 and restricting the Australians to 469 runs. India have reached 151 runs but are still 318 runs behind after losing 5 wickets at Stumps.

No other Indian batters could score more than 25 runs, with the exception of Ajinkya Rahane (29*) and Ravindra Jadeja (48). All of the bowlers for Australia, including Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Scott Boland, Cameron Green, and Nathan Lyon, have claimed one wicket.
