India vs Pakistan on Oct 6 as ICC announces revised Women’s T20 World Cup schedule

The afternoon matches at the Women's T20 World Cup 2024 will start from 3:30 pm IST, while the evening game from 7:30 pm IST.

Six days after confirming that the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 will be shifted from Bangladesh to the U.A.E., the ICC has announced the revised schedule. A total of 24 high-quality fixtures will take place across two venues, Sharjah and Dubai, where the final will also be hosted on October 20.

India at Women’s T20 World Cup

The tournament is divided into two groups, consisting of 5 teams. Team India are drawn with current and six-time World Champions Australia, arch-rivals Pakistan, New Zealand and recently crowned Asia Cup winners Sri Lanka. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side will open their campaign against the the White Ferns on October 4. However, the showcase match between India and Pakistan is two days later on October 6 at the Dubai Stadium.

Group B include South Africa, West Indies, England, hosts Bangladesh and Scotland. Sri Lanka and Scotland qualified for the tournament via the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier tournament held in the same country earlier this year.

Note, as many as 10 warm-up fixtures will be played from September 28 to October 1. Moreover, if India qualifies from the group stages, they will play only the 1st semi-final.
