1st encounter– Virat Kohli guided India to a comprehensive victory in his first match against Pakistan on September 30, 2012. He smashed unbeaten 78 off just 61 balls at a strike rate of 127.86. It comprised a couple of sixes and eight boundaries. He won the Player of the Match award.

2nd encounter– Virat Kohli smashed an unbeaten 36 as India chased down a below-par total against Pakistan. He played at a strike rate of 112.5 on Match 21, 2014 and guided India to another win.

“Even if you look team-wise, India is a lot better team if compared to Pakistan. But India doesn’t need to be complacent or over-confident because Pakistan is such a team that can surprise anyone,” he further stated.
