India vs Pakistan Live: ‘No comparison with Bumrah, Shaheen still learning’: M Amir’s big statement ahead of big match
India vs Pakistan is all about handling pressure: Talking to a YouTube channel, M Amir said that the match between India and Pakistan is all about handling the pressure. As per Amir, “Whoever handles the pressure better on a particular day, wins the game.” He reckons that the records may speak a different story but it’s all about the match day.
Speaking further Amir says that in T20 cricket it doesn’t matter if Pakistan has won the Champions Trophy or India hasn’t lost to Pakistan in World Cup ever. However, on being asked about the prediction for the match, Amir feels, “India has an edge over Pakistan as Indian players have played IPL recently in UAE and are familiar with the conditions in UAE.”
Jasprit Bumrah vs Shaheen Shah Afridi: M Amir feels the comparison between India’s ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah and Pakistan’s pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi is foolish. On being asked about the comparison between M Amir says, “Shaheen Shah Afridi is still young and learning whereas Jasprit Bumrah is playing for the Indian side for quite a long time now and it would be foolish to compare both the pacers.”
India has a better bowling attack: Coming to the bowling attack, Pakistan’s former pacer believes India has a better bowling attack, especially in the spin department. He feels Pakistan has a better attack in terms of pace as Hasan Ali, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Haris Rauf are in their top-notch as compared to India’s Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, M Shami, and J Bumrah when it comes to death overs.
However, Amir believes India has an edge over Pakistan when it comes to spin attack.
“India has an edge as all the spinners in the likes of Jadeja, Ashwin, and Varun Chakravarthy have performed well in the IPL, so if you look at spin department India has an edge.”
