M Rizwan & M Hafeez’s form a big concern for Pakistan: While Pakistan skipper Babar Azam did manage to score a fifty in the first warmup game against Windies, his opening partner M Rizwan has looked completely off-color in both the games. In two games, M Rizwan has managed 13 against the Windies and 19 against South Africa.
Mohammad Hafeez – ‘The Professor’ is also looked out of touch and has managed just 13 runs in two games. He was out for a first-ball duck against the Windies and scored just 13 off 14 deliveries against South Africa today.
M Rizwan in the two warmup matches – 13 & 19
M Hafeez in the two warmup matches – 0 & 13

A sigh of relief in the form of Fakhar Zaman: However, what should have come as a sigh of relief for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is the current form of Fakhar Zaman. Being overlooked for the initial squad, Fakhar Zaman was included in the squad after a rejig. Zaman has looked in great touch with the bat scoring an unbeaten 46 against Windies and scoring a fifty before retiring against South Africa today.
Fakhar Zaman in both the warmup matches –
- unbeaten 46 off 24 balls against Windies
- 52 off 28 balls (retired) against South Africa
Pakistan will begin its T20 World Cup campaign against arch-rivals India on October 24, Sunday in Dubai.
