Rohit Sharma seems to be a man on a mission, with the obvious target being the ICC Champions Trophy. Ahead of the marquee event, the Hitman fired a decisive throw that helped his team beat the rest of the Indian squad in a drill during their practice session on Monday. Rohit & co arrived in Dubai on Saturday and wasted no time since in hitting the nets and practicing hard ahead of the marquee event.
Rohit leads from the front in Champions Trophy drill
As per RevSportz, a direct hit competition was organised on Monday, with the Indian team split into three groups. Shubman Gill, Axar Patel, Varun Chakravarthy and Washington Sundar were team 1. Kuldeep Yadav, Harshit Rana and Virat Kohli were team 2. Meanwhile, Indian captain Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Arshdeep Singh and Ravindra Jadeja were a part of team 3. Team Rohit won the competition with the decisive throw coming from none other than the captain himself.

Rohit stormed back into form with a fine century in Cuttack in the IND vs ENG 2nd ODI. Prior to that game, the Hitman’s form was very poor, starting from the Test series against Bangladesh at home. He managed to break free of the shackles of poor form with a sublime knock that revived India’s hopes in the captain.
India will commence their Champions Trophy campaign on February 20 by taking on Bangladesh in the tournament opener. The Men in Blue will be chasing their 2nd title, having last clinched the trophy in 2013 under the leadership of MS Dhoni. Rohit and co. will be aiming to put behind the horrors of the 2023 World Cup where they suffered a heartbreaking loss to Australia in the finals in Ahmedabad. India cricket team arrived in Dubai on Saturday evening and have wasted no time since then. Monday marks the second consecutive practice session that the Men in Blue have had at the ICC Academy ahead of CT 2025.
