India vs England: Virender Sehwag feels Ravindra Jadeja is yet to perform to his full potential – Talismanic India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who scored a brilliant fifty in the first Test against Nottingham against England, has almost confirmed his place in the Indian playing XI for the next Test. Former India cricketer Virender Sehwag is all praise for Ravindra Jadeja and said that Jadeja is yet to perform to his full potential.

“Now Ravindra Jadeja is a main bowler, left-arm spinner for India, and his contribution with the bat. He has not yet realized his potential but it has been magnificent,” Sehwag said on Sony Sports.

India vs England: Sehwag pointed out Jadeja’s importance in the batting lineup as he improved his batting in the recent past. India played four pacers and one spinner – Ravindra Jadeja in the first Test.

“Ravindra Jadeja is an important player of this team, especially when we talk about Test match cricket because firstly, he bowls 25-30 overs and secondly, he comes and bats at No.7 or No.8. When batsmen get out, he scores the crucial runs. He scored 56 runs in this Test match, they were crucial runs. Probably, because of his 56 runs only India got the lead and went ahead of England,” Sehwag added.

India vs England: When Jadeja came out to bat in the first, India were trailing by 38 runs. He along with KL Rahul stitched a vital partnership to help India gain the lead of 95 runs.
