If Virat Kohli’s current form is anything to go by, he will be at his usual best, in the upcoming series against England. In the recent Test series against South Africa, where most Indian batsmen struggled to get runs, he got 172 runs overall in two Tests, including 76 at Centurion. He also went on to scored 46 in the second Test at Cape Town, that India won by seven wickets.
If former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan is to be believed, Kohli is at his ‘very best’, and that could help him score heavily against England. “Virat Kohli is back at his very best, this is good news for Indian cricket and Virat Kohli fans. He was exceptional in South Africa and his foot movement was brilliant. He is showing aggressive signs with his footwork and that might help him score runs in the England series,” Pathan told Star Sports.
In the current WTC cycle, Kohli has scored 369 runs in 4 Tests till now, and would like to add a few more in the five-Test series against England, starting January 25.
