India’s most successful spin duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja recorded a rare low in the India vs England 1st Test at Hyderabad on Sunday.
Ashwin-Jadeja, who went past Anil Kumble-Harbhajan Singh to become the most successful Test bowling pair for India during the first innings, conceded over 100 runs each for the first time in oppositions’s second innings.
Remarkably, there has never been an instance where both Indian star spinners conceded over 100 runs in opposition’s second innings during the same Test match.
While Ashwin went for 126 runs in 29 overs he bowled, Ravindra Jadeja conceded 131 runs in 34 overs.
