India vs England 1st Test: Ollie Robinson clinches maiden five-wicket haul; India tail wags to take 95 runs lead: England’s tall lanky bowler- Ollie Robinson troubled Virat Kohli and co, something that experts and cricket veterans had predicted ahead of the Test series. The high arm right bowler clinched his maiden five-wicket hall right in his second Test for the Three Lions. Robinson returned with bowling figures- 26.5-6-85-5 and was instrumental in getting England major breakthroughs just when they needed it.

The 27-year-old was instrumental in getting England the first breakthrough on Day 2 during India’s opening 97-run partnership between Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul. He forced Sharma to play a pull shot who was then caught at fine leg by Sam Curran.
India vs England 1st Test: Cut to Day 3, he defined Rishabh Pant’s way to the pavilion just when half centurion KL Rahul and Pant were accelerating team India’s scoreboard. The English quick helped England get rid of the danger man- Ravindra Jadeja, who smashed a fifty and pounced upon the hosts like a ferocious lion.
Further, he toppled team India’s tailenders- Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah who added some bonus runs in India’s run kitty.
Claiming three wickets, Robinson achieved a unique feat.

India vs England 1st Test: India’s tailenders did the trick for India
After losing 5 wickets at 145 runs, India were vying for some depth to just rust off the trail and come at a par score as that of England. After heroics from Jadeja who smashed a fifty, the tail-enders together aggregated close to fifty runs, thus enabling India to take a lead of 95 runs at the end of their innings.
