India vs Bangladesh 3rd T20I: Powered by Sanju Samson’s 111, hosts whitewash Bangla Tigers 3-0

The win further cemented India’s T20I credentials as they look ahead to future challenges.

India finished their T20I series against Bangladesh with a dominant 133-run victory in Hyderabad, sealing a 3-0 whitewash. A stunning century by Sanju Samson led the charge as the hosts put up an extraordinary batting display.

India bat first, Sanju Samson leads carnage

After winning the toss, Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav elected to bat first on a flat Hyderabad pitch. India’s top order took full advantage of the conditions, unleashing a batting masterclass that saw Bangladesh’s bowlers struggling from the outset.

Sanju Samson was the star of the innings, smashing an incredible 111 runs off just 44 balls. His innings included a barrage of boundaries and sixes, thrilling the packed stadium. It was the second-fastest T20I century by an Indian, as Samson effortlessly found the gaps and cleared the ropes. He was well-supported by Suryakumar Yadav, who contributed a quick 75 off 35 balls, further demoralising the Bangladeshi bowlers.

Bangladesh crushed by Indian Attack

India’s aggressive intent didn’t stop after the dismissals of Samson and Suryakumar. Hardik Pandya and Riyan Parag continued the onslaught, with Pandya smashing 47 from just 17 balls and Parag contributing a fiery 34 from 13 deliveries. Bangladesh’s bowlers, including Taskin Ahmed and Mustafizur Rahman, had no answers as India piled up a daunting total of 297/6, just three runs shy of the 300-run mark in a T20I.

Rishad Hossain endured a particularly tough time, conceding five sixes in one over as Samson unleashed his fury. Bangladesh’s fielding woes, with dropped catches and missed run-outs, only added to their misery.

Bangladesh struggles with bat

In response, Bangladesh’s chase never really got going. They struggled against India’s disciplined bowling attack, with wickets falling at regular intervals. Despite a few resistance knocks from the middle order, Bangladesh made just 164 in 20 overs, falling 133 runs short of the massive target.

India’s whitewash victory

India’s victory not only secured a 3-0 clean sweep over Bangladesh but also highlighted their dominance in the series. Samson’s brilliant knock, coupled with key contributions from other batters, ensured India stayed in control throughout the match.

The win further cemented India’s T20I credentials as they look ahead to future challenges.

This comprehensive win reflects India’s depth in both batting and bowling.
