It is quite natural that India Cricket Team will shift their focus to the shortest format of the game after the conclusion of the ODI World Cup. The Indian team led by Hardik Pandya will aim to bring home the trophy from the USA.

Currently, the Men in Blue are traveling to the Carribeans and ready to face the Windies. However, the major focus for Rohit Sharma and Co is to prepare for the Asia Cup and the upcoming World Cup. But after the conclusion of the mega event, the Men in Blue won’t have a breather.

The preparation for the 2024 T20 World Cup will commence. India will face Afghanistan for 3 T20s before traveling to South Africa for a major series against the Proteas. Early next year, England will travel to India where the two sides will lock horns for a 5-match Test series. In the summer India will Tour Sri Lanka.

After a trip to Lanka, India will welcome Bangladesh and then New Zealand later in the next year. Though the preparation is starting soon, there are quite a few decisions that are needed to be taken. Following BCCI’s sight to feature a young team led by a young skipper, Hardik Pandya, it remains to be seen what happens to the seniors of the squad.
